5th and 4th grade

I know that I have yet to post pictures of any 5th or 4th grade work.  It is coming!  Each class is working on a project that takes several weeks to complete, so fear not the work is comming, here is a sneek peak of a 5th grade project,  its VanGogh flowers with string.  4th grade projects should be posted later this week.

Blending colors with 3rd grade

The 3rd graders were so excited about this project that they asked for an extra day so that they could finish it.  Their wish was granted.  For this project I introduced them to drawing a tree and the idea of blending colors right on top of one another to create a more realistic feel to the picture.  They really got into this one.

Fall pictures for 2nd grade

These are some fall pictures the 2nd grade did.  They seperated their paper, drew a pumpkin, a leaf, and some acorns.  Great project to get them ready for fall.

Pumpkins with 1st Grade

This was a fun lesson on how to teach the students how to draw a pumpkin.  We started with an oval on the paper then drew two 'bumps' from the top to the bottom of the oval.  We added a horizon line, a couple more pumpkins and clouds and colored.  Great 1 day project.

2nd Grade Shape and Patterns

For this project I talked about making everyday shapes and special shapes, then we discussed patterns and what patterns are.  After that we talked about adding a secret pattern to the background so it will take someone extra long to spot all the patterns.  This was a great 2 day project.
